From CCDC Chair Dick Bingham, 3/29/20 (see vote by mail info here)
I hope this email finds you and your families safe and healthy. In the midst of the COVID-19 Stay-At-Home order, I write today to share the good news that Governor Wolf has postponed our Primary from April 28 to June 2.
While you are home, I recommend you register online for the Mail-In Voting option. I have and it’s simple and convenient. In fact, we have discovered that this new option is proving to be very popular with your neighbors. As of Friday, 13,173 Chester County voters have applied. We are encouraged to note that 10,794 are Democrats and 2,379 are Republicans (a 4.5 D to R ratio). You can click HERE to request your mail-in ballot today.
When Governor Wolf signed the bill Friday to move our Primary to Tuesday, June 2, he also triggered two key date changes. May 26 is now the deadline for requesting a Vote By Mail ballot and the deadline for new Voter Registration or changes to Party affiliation was moved to May 18.
It is an understatement to say we are living in unprecedented times. We will need to learn and adapt as we go. But one thing is certain: Our mission to elect Democrats on November 3 remains unchanged. We have postponed many of our fundraising plans due to COVID-19, but any donation you can make now to help us accomplish our mission will be greatly appreciated. Click HERE to donate. Thank you.
Stay safe. Stay distanced. Stay healthy. And remember to apply for your mail-in ballot.
Dick Bingham, Chair
Chester County Democratic Committee
