In the legislature, she serves on the Health, Judiciary, Liquor Control, Rules, State Government and Transportation committees. Her bills – The Nursing Home Communications Act, The Uniform Family Law Arbitration Act, The Lottery Margins Bill (increasing money to Senior Programs) & The Child & Dependent Care Tax Credit have been signed into law. Melissa is also the founder and Co-Chair of the Animal Protection Caucus.
