The Pennsylvania Democratic Party’s State Committee, at its June 8 meeting, passed a resolution calling for
• improved pipeline leak detection and notification, and county-wide disaster response plans
• costs of the above to be borne by pipeline operators, not local taxpayers
• enhanced safeguarding of older pipelines
• enforcement of state and federal rules protecting people and the environment
• preventing the Mariner East pipeline from operating until the above conditions are met
• PA pipeline jobs to go to PA workers
