West Chester, PA. (May 18, 2022) – With most of the votes counted and their primary election winners confirmed, Chester County Democrats, under the leadership of Chairwoman Charlotte Valyo, welcomed the close of a successful Primary Season.
With surging turnout and enthusiasm brimming, Democrats came out to vote for their nominees for U.S. Senate and Congress, Pennsylvania Governor and Lt. Governor, plus state legislative down-ballot races in yesterday’s election.
Chairwoman Valyo was quoted: “We are so thrilled to have such a slate heading into the General Election. Electing Josh Shaprio and his running mate Austin Davis in the Fall to Harrisburg, along with John Fetterman to the Senate will be among our top priorities over this coming election season.”
Other primary electoral wins were seen as Chrissy Houlahan advanced again to head into her third election since first elected back in 2018. The Chairwoman was quoted again:
“Chrissy is the first representative Democrats have had here in Chester County since the Civil War, we will move heaven and earth to ensure every voter knows of her stellar record of service, and we are confident of victory come November.”
Chester County Democrats have turned decades of minority status in Chester County into becoming a powerful majority, winning every county elected office and the majority of state legislative seats since 2017, and they have delivered strong results. In November, they will do so again.
