There were likely going to be some doubts by Democrats about the 2021 election, given the extreme rhetoric provided by Republicans, and so it is very gratifying to see our entire slate re-elected – with Sophia Garcia-Jackson replacing the retired Coroner Christina VandePol. Clearly voters were convinced that “Democrats Deliver” and wanted to keep these offices Democratic, and for that, they say “THANKS”:

“Thank you Chester County for your vote of confidence in me. I am honored and humbled to serve and continue to bring thoughtful, compassionate leadership to the Coroner’s Office.”
“There are so many people who worked very hard to make my re-election successful, and I wish I could contact each one of you personally to thank you. I did visit with many of you on election day. There you were in the cold pouring rain greeting every person who walked by. You represented the Democratic party and us as candidates in a way that we should all be proud of. Just as you did for me in 2017, you made me look good! And for me personally, you helped me during a time when being out there was emotionally very difficult. That’s something I will always remember. Thank you again, and I hope to continue to be the kind of Treasurer worthy of your efforts.”
MARGARET REIF, Controller:
“Thank you, voters, volunteers, and supporters for the trust you placed in me the last four years, and for giving me another term to continue this work for Chester Countians. Together with my team, we’ll continue modernizing and streamlining Controller’s office functions, making the business of the county more cost-efficient, more transparent, and more user-friendly to Chester County residents and businesses.”
YOLANDA VAN DE KROL, Clerk of Courts:
“Thank you to all of the volunteers and community members who worked tirelessly over the past 11 months to make this victory a reality.  I am looking forward to continuing the work that I started nearly four years ago when you first elected me as your Clerk of Courts. My goal is to make the office work better for YOU, and I will continue to drive modernization, cost-savings, and social and criminal justice reforms from within the office. Thank you Chester County!”

“Democracy is not a state. It is an act, and each generation must do its part.”
