On the evening of Sept. 17, Democrats gathered at Sprout Music Collective in West Chester to celebrate the holidays, the end of a very active political year, and the dramatic Democratic successes in the November 2019 election… and, of course, also to strategize about the momentous political year ahead.

CCDC chair Dick Bingham took the occasion to honor Commissioner Kathi Cozzone’s 12 years of meritorious service to the people of Chester County with the Chair’s Award. First elected as County Commissioner in November 2007, Kathi will be succeeded in January 2020 by Democrats Josh Maxwell and Marian Moskowitz (continuing Republican Commissioner, Michelle Kichline, will move from the majority to the minority of the Board).

The photo shows the plaque presented to Commissioner Cozzone. Congratulations and many thanks to her!

“Democracy is not a state. It is an act, and each generation must do its part.”
