Scott has maintained his commitment to Servant Leadership and will never stop fighting for you. As a Centre County Commissioner, he served as Chairman of the Salary Board, Retirement Board, Employee Benefits Trust, and Board of Assessment. He participated in crafting and passing numerous fiscally responsible budgets, overseeing the operations of 1000s of employees, and opening county records to the public to increase transparency. As part of a progressive wave of state legislators, Scott was elected to the State House in 2006. He was part of a caucus dedicated to creating good government, that passed new open records laws, stopped midnight voting and passed legislation to protect all Pennsylvanians from government and private industry abuses. He currently serves as the Democratic Chair of the Gaming and Oversight Committee, Treasurer of the Northwest Legislative Delegation, and a member of eleven other caucuses.
